Not sure where we picked this character up from?

Starting the tear down on Joe L.'s overdrive transmission.
We removed the engine and trans from Greg D.'s truck. After removing the cylinder head, we found the head had been modified. We're not sure this provides any benefit when building a high compression Hudson engine? We did find all the pistons had galled/melted and ruined the all the bores. We also found the mains, rods and crank have heavy wear. This engine really looked new inside, but after inspection we found every bearing wiped out in this engine with very low miles.
We also found the #2 cam bearing coming out of the block. Not sure what happened there, but we decided to start with another complete engine core.
